Mexia students of all ages are invited to showcase their skills at the upcoming Rotary Club of Mexia’s 68th Annual Talent Show, scheduled for March 8. This annual event not only provides a platform for talented individuals to shine but also raises funds for local Rotary projects.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect opportunity to showcase your performance skills, now is the time! Auditions will be held on February 13, 14, and 15. The schedule is as follows: Tuesday’s auditions will take place at the Mexia High School Auditorium, Wednesday’s auditions will be held at the Junior High Cafetorium, and Thursday’s auditions will be in the music room of A.B. McBay Elementary School. All auditions will begin promptly at 3:35 p.m.
Past Talent Show participants have never failed to amaze the audience with their diverse range of talents, including singing, rapping, dancing, Hula-Hooping, cheerdancing, and more. The chosen contestants will have a few weeks to polish and perfect their acts before the dress rehearsal on Thursday, March 7, at 5:30 p.m.
Finally, the much-awaited talent show will take place on Friday, March 8, at 7 p.m. in the Mexia High School Auditorium. Participants will have the chance to win cash prizes awarded on the night of the show.
In the junior category (pre-kindergarten to fifth grade), around six to nine contestants will be selected, with the top five acts receiving cash prizes. Similarly, in the senior category (sixth grade to senior high school), another group of six to nine contestants will be chosen, and the top five acts will also receive cash prizes. As an added bonus, the judges will select the overall top act, which will be awarded an additional cash prize.
